Osprey-VLE's skills radar
Osprey-VLE offers users the opportunity to create their own Individual Learning Plan (ILP). The ILP starts with a skills-gap analysis tool called the Skills Radar.
The Skills Radar carries out two tests:
- An attitude test: this discovers the level the user believes their knowledge level to be
- An aptitude test: this confirms the users knowledge
Once both tests are complete the Skills Radar makes comparisons of the two and relays the results back to the user and the administrator. This report illustrates skills-gaps as well as highlighting areas where a user may be stronger than they believed. The results of the analysis provide practical advice as to which courses the user might benefit from and their ILP is underway.
