Shipping / Maritime Sector
The shipping and maritime sector provides the foundation stone for Coracle. Our team has a unique combination of skills, acquired from decades of experience in the industry.
Complex logistics chains ensure the safe passage of over 50,000 commercial ships from 150 countries and the sector provides employment to over 1 million seafarers. These people are supported by a large and diverse workforce ashore. In the UK the maritime sector directly employs 410,000 people and represents a £56 billion turnover sector.
For an industry with significant challenges relating to the dispersed, multi-national workforce, training should be top of the agenda. Many people in the industry work in environments where they have no internet connection and this is where the Learning Line from Coracle excels at helping organisations provide consistent content, delivered in the most appropriate manner possible.
Insurance Sector
There is an increasing expectations from consumers and organisations that the insurance practitioners they deal with are professional and qualified. In the UK this means being Chartered. Over 900 firms and 22,000 people meet the standards of the CII (Chartered Insurance Institute)
Coracle have developed an end-to-end process for managing CII accredited training and examination.
Healthcare Sector
The NHS is under pressure to change, to support the public and save money.
As data from approved health apps starts to feed directly into personal health records (BBC), so the hope is that patient behaviour will change. Self-care and self-management are valuable ideas, which could save the NHS significant amounts of money, as long as the education part of the process is robust, accessible and appropriate.
